Sri Mukherjee Office Hours |
Hi! My name is Sri Mukherjee. I am a full-time faculty member in the Harvard College Writing Program, where I teach literature-based expository writing courses. Although my Ph.D. is in British literature, my current research and courses draw on both British and international literatures. Beyond my academic interests, I enjoy travel, theater, international cuisines, and everything about New York City.
At Mather, my work is multidisciplinary because I offer guidance with writing projects in any discipline. I can also assist you with statements for fellowships, graduate schools, and professional schools. My guidance is skills-centered, rather than editorial: for instance, I help with complicating ideas, strengthening evidence, improving structure, and enhancing stylistic precision, but I don't proofread drafts (i.e., I won't "fix" all spellings, punctuation, typos...). You can schedule a consultation with me at any stage of your writing process--you might simply want to brainstorm ideas, or discuss an outline, or work from a full draft. No matter where you are in your writing process, please bring a hard copy of all ssignment/fellowship instructions (and of your draft, should you have one) to our meetings.
My consultations usually last between 45-60 minutes. I generally hold office hours in dining hall from 2:30-5:30 on Sunday afternoons: you're welcome to reserve a specific time slot via e-mail by Saturday noon. If you prefer a meeting outside of my Sunday hours, please e-mail me at least two days in advance.
I look forward to working with many of you this year!
Sri
